Blessings and Feasts

Throughout the year, St. Philip’s celebrates several saints and other holy figures with the blessing of the Delaware River (St. John the Baptist), animals (St. Francis), firefighters and fire engines (St. Michael), vehicles (Elijah the Prophet), and actors and musicians (St. Genesius), among others.

Advent Season: December

St. Philip’s celebrates the birth of Christ with services throughout the Advent season, including two Christmas Eve services and a Christmas Day service.

Care of Creation: October 5

St. Philip’s held its first annual Care of Creation Fest, an event celebrating nature and educating community members in ways they can become better stewards of the environment.

New Hope Pride Parade: May 18

St. Philip’s marches in the annual Pride Parade that winds through Lambertville, NJ, and across the Delaware River into downtown New Hope to celebrate our area’s diversity. Large, boisterous crowds cheered on our largest delegation.

Holy Week

St. Philip’s holds special services and events during Lent and Holy Week, including an outdoor Stations of the Cross in Lambertville and New Hope; Office of the Tenebrae; Maundy Thursday; Good Friday noon liturgy and evening vespers; and the Great Vigil of Easter. The season culminates in two services on Easter, followed by an egg hunt.

In the Community

Service to our community is an important part of our commitment. Throughout the year, St. Philip’s maintains a vibrant community presence by hosting concerts and lectures; gathering donations for food banks, refugees, and the homeless; taking an active role in Community Peacemeal; hosting a “Write for Rights” campaign for Amnesty International; providing “Ashes to Go”; and participating in many other events.

Weddings and Baptisms

Our space, which seats about 70 people, is perfect for weddings and baptisms. Father Michael is able to perform weddings in both the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey. All couples are welcome to celebrate the sacrament of marriage at St. Philip's.

In All Seasons

Our beautiful church is a source of faith, peace, joy and inspiration throughout the seasons.
